I can see the Frustration but whay aren't they protesting Capitol Hill too, it was the Government under Fannie and Freddie who started many of these suspect mortgage programs because they wanted to allow people to get home ownership, and the Fannie and Freddie said they would back a lot of those bad mortgages, what did they think would happen, now by no means am I letting the banks off the hook but blame should be passed around equally. Secondly whay are they not protesting colleges about charging so much money to go to college, I have heard many protesters complain about college loans, don't blame the bank because colleges chareg enormous amounts of dough to go there and you took a loan. I just think by blaming Wall Street they are only seeing half of the picture, just my two cents! I would like to get a copy of that book though

I really don't understand these complaints that the OWS folks aren't doing enough. At least they're doing something.

Maybe a better question is why aren't YOU out there protesting on Capitol Hill?

Well then you answer your own question. Why do you expect that the people who are actually out there protesting to be three places at once?

What I don't understand here is all the cynicism directed at protestors who are directly challenging the culture of greed and societal neglect that led us to financial ruin. Somehow I doubt that anyone down there protesting on Wall Street would let the government off the hook. But even if you believe that what Goldman and the other firms did was not illegal (which it clearly was, in many cases) they have proven themselves well worthy of this kind of protest. It should have happened two years ago, but at least it's happening at all.

And all you all can think to do in response is to make fun of the protesters. Pathetic.

No snow I did not make fun of the protesters I am just saying why i can't go to protest and all the protesters lay the blame at wall street when I hear none of them blaming government for getting into bed with some of those companies and creating the mess, read the community reinvestment act, the gov was just as responsible as some of the businesses who became greedy
